From February 22nd through the 26th, the top swimmers from the North East Conference (NEC) will descend on SPIRE for the 2022 Swimming & Diving Conference Championships. The Bryant Bulldogs will be looking to defend their status as a force to be reckoned with. The women’s team will be trying to win their fifth-straight conference title, while the Bryant men are eager to defend their successful 2021 inaugural men’s championship.
There will be more than a few familiar swimmers facing off this year, including two-time NEC Outstanding Diver and diving champion, Bryant’s Kyri Chambo, and NEC Outstanding Swimmer award winner and four-time NEC Swimmer of the Week, the Bulldog’s own Matthew Mays.
CCSU’s Jeannette King, the 2021 NEC Outstanding Swimmer award winner, returns to defend her title, bringing 200 IM and 200 Breaststroke gold medal recipient Alex Lindgren with her. The Blue Devils have a mission: win the NEC championship for the first time since their three-year domination of the competition spanning from 2015 through 2017.
The schedule of events is divided into sessions.
Be poolside at SPIRE for every edge-of-your-seat moment. Tickets for sessions and events, running Tuesday, February 22 through Saturday, February 26, are available daily or via an all-access pass.
